Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to Survey Life CE, INC. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Survey Life CE, INC website, platform, courses, and services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Services.
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND ELIGIBILITY
By creating an account, purchasing a course, or otherwise using our Services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are accessing the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION AND SECURITY
To access our courses, you must create an account with accurate, complete, and current information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Each account is for individual use only. You may not share your login credentials with any other person, nor may you allow any other person to access courses through your account. Violation of this provision may result in immediate termination of your account without refund. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. COURSE PURCHASES AND PRICING
All course prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time; however, price changes will not affect courses already purchased. Payment is due at the time of purchase. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method and authorize us to charge the full amount to that payment method.
4. REFUND POLICY
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
Due to the digital nature of our course content, all purchases are non-refundable. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree that you are not entitled to a refund for any reason, including but not limited to: dissatisfaction with course content, failure to complete a course, inability to access courses due to technical issues on your end, change of mind, or failure to obtain continuing education credit approval in your jurisdiction. We encourage you to review course descriptions and previews carefully before making a purchase.
5. CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER REGARDING CE CREDITS:
Survey Life CE, INC courses are designed to provide continuing education for professional land surveyors. However, continuing education requirements and approval vary by state and licensing jurisdiction. While SurveyLife CE may seek approval from various state boards, we make no guarantee that any particular course will be accepted for continuing education credit in your jurisdiction.
IT IS YOUR SOLE RESPONSIBILITY to verify that any course you purchase meets the continuing education requirements of your state licensing board or other regulatory authority BEFORE making a purchase.
Survey Life CE, INC is not responsible for any consequences resulting from a course not being accepted for continuing education credit by your licensing authority, including but not limited to license renewal issues, additional training requirements, or any professional or financial harm.
6. EDUCATIONAL CONTENT DISCLAIMER

Survey Life CE, INC. courses are educational in nature and are based upon common surveying issues, principles, and professional standards generally recognized within the land surveying profession. Course content is intended for general educational purposes only.
OUR COURSES DO NOT CONSTITUTE AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS:
(a) Legal advice of any kind;
(b) Interpretation of any federal, state, or local statutes, regulations, codes, or ordinances;
(c) State-specific guidance on surveying laws, licensing requirements, or standards of practice;
(d) Professional advice for any specific project, boundary dispute, or surveying matter;
(e) A substitute for competent professional judgment in the practice of land surveying.
Laws, regulations, and standards of practice vary significantly between jurisdictions. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the laws and standards applicable in your jurisdiction. For specific legal questions or matters requiring legal interpretation, consult a qualified attorney licensed in the relevant jurisdiction. 7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
All content provided through Survey Life CE, INC. including but not limited to course materials, audio recordings, video content, text, graphics, logos, images, quizzes, and any other materials (collectively, "Content"), is the exclusive property of SurveyLife CE or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Your purchase of a course grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the course content for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. This license does not include the right to:
(a) Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any Content;
(b) Modify, adapt, or create derivative works from any Content;
(c) Download, record, or capture any audio or video content except as expressly permitted;
(d) Share, resell, or sub-license access to any Content;
(e) Use any Content for commercial purposes or in any training or educational program for others.
Any unauthorized use of the Content may violate copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws and could result in civil or criminal penalties.
8. USER CONDUCT
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
(a) Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account;
(b) Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to access the Services;
(c) Attempt to circumvent any security measures or access restrictions;
(d) Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers;
(e) Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation;
(f) Use the Services in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Services;
(g) Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use of the Services.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
SURVEY LIFE CE, INC. ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
(a) Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Services; (b) Any conduct or content of any third party on the Services; (c) Any content obtained from the Services; (d) Any errors or omissions in any course content;
(e) Any professional decisions or actions you take based on course content;
(f) Failure of any course to be accepted for continuing education credit.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SPECIFIC COURSE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY CONTENT.
11. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SurveyLife CE, its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any claim that your use of the Services caused damage to a third party.
12. TERMINATION
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to: violation of these Terms, sharing account credentials, suspected fraudulent activity, or conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful to SurveyLife CE or other users. Upon termination, your right to access the Services and any purchased courses will immediately cease. No refunds will be issued for termination. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.
13. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Idaho, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
14. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at [INSERT EMAIL] to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within thirty (30) days, either party may proceed with legal action as provided herein. You agree that any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action arises, or be forever barred.
15. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time in our sole discretion. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
16. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS
Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Survey Life CE regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
Notices: We may provide notices to you via email to the address associated with your account or by posting on the website.
Headings: Section headings are for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
